Mardi 1er Juin Chapitre

Après l'annonce officielle de G. Chabanon : " Nous avons un nouveau Supérieur Général : Richard Baawobr ", sœur Micheline Tremblay nous a présenté l'agenda de cette semaine :

- Élections du Conseil Général
- Agenda 5 : la formation
- Agenda 6 : structures
- Un certain nombre de textes à finaliser

Georges Jacques a présenté le premier jet du texte traitant de notre spiritualité. Bien sûr, il y aura encore des corrections à y faire, mais dans l'ensemble tout le monde a trouvé ce texte très bien fait.

Les capitulants sont ensuite passés à la présentation du thème de l'agenda 5 : la formation initiale. Différents sous-thèmes ont été présentés et ensuite étudiés par les différentes groupes : la vocation et la formation des Frères ; la formation humaine intégrale ; l'intégration de " rencontre et dialogue interreligieux " et de " JPIC " dans nos programmes de formation initiale ; le temps préparatoire à la première étape de formation ; la période de la formation apostolique (le stage).

L'après-midi chaque groupe est venu présenter ce qu'il avait retenu sur le thème à traiter, présentations suivies de questions d'éclaircissement et de remarques. Comme aucune décision n'est prise au cours de ces discussions, vous devrez attendre encore quelques jours avant d'en connaître les conclusions.

La journée s'est terminée par l'Eucharistie (Photos et video demain) et en soirée, par la présentation du film " François au pays du soleil ".

CHAPTER 2010 Monday 1st June

After the official announcement by Gérard Chabanon, 'We have a new Superior General: Richard Baawobr', Sister Micheline Tremblay presented the agenda for this week:

* Elections to the General Council
* Agenda n° 5: Formation
* Agenda n° 6: Structures
* A certain number of texts to finalise

Georges Jacques presented the first version of a text dealing with our spirituality. Naturally, there are still corrections to make to it, but on the whole everyone found this text very well done.

The Capitulants then passed to the presentation of the topic of Agenda n° 5 Initial Formation. Various sub-topics were present and then studied by different groups: the vocation and formation of Brothers; integral human formation; integration of 'Encounter and Interreligious Dialogue' and 'JPIC' into our Initial Formation programmes; the preparatory period for the First Phase of Formation; the period of apostolic practice (the stage).

In the afternoon, each group came to present what they had retained on the topic to examine, presentations followed by questions for clarification and comment. As no decision is taken during the course of these discussions, you will need to wait a few days yet before learning their conclusions.

The day ended with the Eucharist and an evening presentation of Zeffirelli's film, 'Brother Sun and Sister Moon', on St Francis of Assisi.
