Due to changes occurring in 2008, some adjustments had
to be made to the figures for 2008 to enable valid comparisons to be
made:
1) 5 confreres from Poland were removed from the Generalate to place
them in the European Province in 2009 and 5 confreres from Brazil to
place them in the Americas Province in 2009.
2) Switzerland was a Section in 2008 and in 2009 became a Sector of
the European Province. On account of this, the number of confreres in
Europe increased by 31 in 2008, (when this Province did not yet exist).
3) The same principle applied for Mali and Burkina Faso, when they became
