peu avant qu'ils prononcent leur serment et recoivent le diaconat.

VITALIS OWINO DERO

Vitalis Owino est né le 3 octobre 1975 dans le district de Kisumu au Kenya. Il est l'aîné d'une famille de 9 enfants. Ses parents se nomment John Dero et Teresa Auma.

Vitalis a eu le désir de devenir prêtre dès l'école primaire. Après avoir terminé ses études secondaires en 1994 au petit séminaire, il n'a pas continué au grand séminaire par choix personnel et dû aux règles imposées par son ethnie. Il s'est cependant engagé comme catéchiste dans sa paroisse et c'est en 1999 qu'il a manifesté le désir de devenir missionnaire d'Afrique. Durant ce temps, il a aussi fait des études en informatique.

En 2001, il est admis à entrer à Jinja où il fait sa première étape de formation missionnaire. Trois ans plus tard, soit en 2004, nous le retrouvons à Samagan pour l'Année Spirituelle. Il est ensuite envoyé en RDC pour son stage apostolique.

En août 2007, il arrive à Abidjan pour y entreprendre la quatrième étape de sa formation initiale. En juin 2009 Vitalis a terminé sa deuxième année de théologie au Centre de Formation Missionnaire d'Abidjan (CFMA) et a entamé sa troisième et dernière année au mois de septembre 2009.

HULECKI PAWEL

Fils de Jerzy Hulecki et Grazyna Andrzejewska, Pawel est né en Pologne le 4 mars 1980 à Reszel. Il a fait ses études secondaires à Olsztyn au Collège d'Enseignement Général de 1995 à 1999. Il entre au Grand Séminaire du diocèse d'Olsztyn en 1999, où il découvre sa vocation missionnaire. Il quitte le grand séminaire en 2003 pour rejoindre notre maison de la première étape à Lublin en Pologne. Il continue sa formation théologique, commencée au Grand Séminaire, à l'Université Catholique de Lublin et obtient son BAC théologique en 2005.

Il est alors envoyé à Bobo Dioulasso pour son Année spirituelle de 2005 à 2006. Nommé à la Province de l'Afrique Centrale, il fait son stage apostolique de 2006-2008 à Kipaka, diocèse de Kasongo en RDC parmi le peuple Wazimba et Bakwange.
Pawel, ayant déjà fini le cursus théologique pour le sacerdoce, est à la Fraternité Lavigerie depuis août 2008 pour compléter sa formation missionnaire et, à la suite de son expérience en RDC, pour suivre une formation de deux années en "Justice et Paix" (l'option: Gestion des conflits et paix) au Centre de Recherche et d'Action pour la Paix (CERAP) à Abidjan.

FAUSTIN KERUMBE WEDUNG'A


Faustin est né le 28 avril 1977 à Nyarambe, diocèse de Mahagi-Nioka, en République Démocratique du Congo. Il est le troisième d'une famille de sept enfants. Il avait un demi-frère qu'il a perdu en 2003. Il est originaire d'un milieu paysan. Très tôt, il a manifesté le désir d'entrer chez les Missionnaires d'Afrique. Ses parents l'ont toujours encouragé dans son désir de la vie missionnaire. Après avoir commencé ses études secondaires dans un lycée de l'État, il a poursuivi au petit séminaire Jean XXIII de Vida où il a obtenu son diplôme d'état en section littéraire en 1999. Il a ensuite enseigné une année au Lycée Anuarite de Mahagi et en 2000, il a été admis au Foyer Ngongo de Goma pour la propédeutique.

En septembre 2001, il a commencé sa première étape à la Ruzizi. En 2004, il a été envoyé à Samagan pour son Année Spirituelle. De là, il a été nommé en Zambie dans le diocèse de Chipata pour son stage apostolique.

En septembre 2007, il arrivait à Abidjan pour entreprendre la quatrième et dernière étape de sa formation initiale. En mai 2008 il reçoit le ministère de l'acolytat. Du 17 juillet au 16 août 2008 il fait sa retraite de 30 jours à Logbakro (Yamoussoukro) dans un monastère des sœurs Carmélites. En juin 2009 Faustin a terminé sa deuxième année de théologie au Centre de Formation Missionnaire d'Abidjan et a entamé sa troisième et dernière année au mois de septembre 2009.

PASCAL IMANI KAPILIMBA


Pascal est né le 24 avril 1973 à Yamba-Yamba dans le Maniema, RDC. Son père, Jérôme Kapilimba Feruzi, enseignant, et sa mère Jacqueline Atosha Kotcha, cultivatrice. Il est septième d'une famille de huit enfants. Il est issu d'une famille catholique et pratiquante mais ses parents se sont séparés quand Pascal avait treize ans, la réconciliation a eu lieu en 2004 grâce aux efforts de Pascal et ses frères.

Il a fait son école primaire à Yamba-Yamba et à Senga-Luchi. Il fit ses études secondaires à Kipaka. Pendant deux ans, il a été enseignant à l'école primaire Kisandji, après l'obtention du diplôme.

Il commence sa formation religieuse par une année à la propédeutique spirituelle à Kasongo (1995), puis il commence sa philosophie au Grand séminaire Mgr Cleire à Kasongo en 1996. Après une année blanche à cause de l'insécurité, il reprend sa philosophie mais cette fois-ci (2000) au Grand Séminaire St Mbaga Tuzinde (Cibanda) de Murhesa pour le compte du diocèse de Kasongo. Il poursuit sa formation en théologie en 2001 au séminaire St Pie X (Murhesa). En 2003 il fait un stage à la Propédeutique de Kasongo puis retourne à Murhesa pour sa troisième année de théologie.

Il fait sa troisième année de théologie en 2003-2004 avant d'entamer sa formation avec les Missionnaire d'Afrique. Pascal a toujours cherché à approfondir sa vocation missionnaire quand il était au Grand Séminaire. Sa vocation Missionnaires d'Afrique s'est alors consolidée en 1999. Il a eu des occasions de vivre en communauté Missionnaires d'Afrique (Kipaka et Mingana).

Pascal a fait son Année Spirituelle à Samagan 2005-2006. Il fait son stage apostolique à Bandiagara au Mali de 2006 à 2008.
Depuis septembre 2008, Pascal est à la Fraternité Lavigerie pour compléter sa formation missionnaire. Pour avoir déjà fait une grande partie des études théologiques requises pour l'ordination sacerdotale, Pascal ne fait que suivre quelques cours au Centre de Formation Missionnaire d'Abidjan (CFMA).

ROLAND BISHIKWABO KAMUNTU

Né à Bukavu, le 16 août 1977 en République Démocratique du Congo, Roland est issu d'une famille nombreuse. Son papa, a eu plusieurs épouses et de nombreux enfants. Il est le sixième de sept enfants de sa maman. C'est une chrétienne engagée. C'est elle qui a élevé Roland car séparée de son époux depuis longtemps. Ses grands-frères et ses grandes sœurs ont joué un rôle important dans son éducation. Le papa est décédé en décembre 2006. Les deux parents ont beaucoup encouragé leur fils dans son option missionnaire. Roland a été baptisé en 1989 à l'âge de douze ans à Kadutu, archidiocèse de Bukavu. Il a reçu la confirmation l'année suivante.

Après avoir fait ses études primaires et secondaires à Bukavu, il a obtenu en 1999 son diplôme d'état, option pédagogie. L'année suivante il a suivi une formation en secrétariat - comptabilité - informatique. En 2000, attiré par le charisme des Missionnaires d'Afrique et leur engagement pour la Justice et la Paix, il a fait sa demande et il a été accepté en propédeutique au Foyer Ngongo de Goma. L'année suivante, il entrait à la Ruzizi.

En 2004, il a été nommé à l'Année Spirituelle à Samagan, Bobo Dioulasso au Burkina Faso. De 2005 à 2007, il a fait son stage apostolique à Acumet, diocèse de Soroti en Ouganda. En septembre de la même année, il commençait la quatrième étape de sa formation initiale à la Fraternité Lavigerie d'Abidjan. Roland est actuellement en troisième année de théologie au Centre de Formation Missionnaire d'Abidjan.

JOSEPH FRANCIS MAKOKA

Né le 21 mai 1981 à Lilongwe au Malawi, Joseph est le fils aîné d'une famille de sept enfants. Son père est technicien en laboratoire. Présentement il travaille comme assistant médical dans un dispensaire. Sa mère est décédée en 2001. À la fin de son école primaire, il est entré au petit séminaire St Kizito du diocèse de Dedza. Mais après quelques mois, ce dernier a été fermé. Il a donc poursuivi d'abord durant une année à Katsekaminga Community Day Secondary School de Dedza puis à l'école secondaire des Frères Maristes toujours dans la même ville, de 1999 à 2000.

La visite régulière d'un confrère à sa mère malade pendant dix huit mois a influencé son choix à entrer chez les Missionnaires d'Afrique. En 2000, il participe à trois sessions " Come and see ". L'année suivante, il fait la propédeutique à Kanengo, Lilongwe. De 2001 à 2004, il fait la première étape de sa formation à Jinja en Ouganda. Puis en 2004, il est envoyé à Samagan au Burkina Faso pour l'Année Spirituelle. Il est ensuite nommé à Zinder au Niger pour son stage apostolique.

Et en août 2007, il arrive à la Fraternité Lavigerie d'Abidjan pour commencer la dernière étape de sa formation initiale. En juin 2009 Joseph a terminé sa deuxième année de théologie au Centre de Formation Missionnaire d'Abidjan et est présentement en troisième et dernière année de formation initiale.

PATRICK EMUKULE OBAI

Patrick est né le 24 juillet 1975 à Amukura au Kenya. Il est le dernier d'une famille de six enfants. Un frère est décédé. Son papa, Fobiano, a une seconde épouse de qui il a eu 7 enfants. À sa retraite, il s'est retiré à la ferme et cultive la terre.

Après avoir suivi l'école primaire dans son village, Patrick a fréquenté deux écoles secondaires et il a terminé en 1997. Puis, durant deux ans, il a travaillé comme secrétaire dans un hôpital puis dans l'administration. En 1999, il a participé à deux sessions organisées par les Missionnaires d'Afrique. En 2000, sur les conseils de ces derniers, il s'est engagé dans un travail pastoral auprès des enfants de la rue. C'est pendant cette année qu'il a participé au stage de propédeutique en Tanzanie. Puis de 2001 à 2004, il a franchi la première étape de formation à Jinja en Ouganda. En 2004, on le retrouve à Samagan au Burkina Faso pour l'année spirituelle. Puis il a été envoyé en République Démocratique du Congo pour son stage apostolique.

En août 2007, il est arrivé à la Fraternité Lavigerie d'Abidjan pour entreprendre la dernière étape de sa formation initiale. Au mois de septembre 2009, Patrick a commencé sa troisième et dernière année de formation théologique au Centre de Formation Missionnaire d'Abidjan.

MARCIN ZAGULA

Marcin est né le 31 mars 1977 à Katowice en Pologne. Il a une sœur de huit ans plus jeune que lui. Une autre est décédée quand elle était encore enfant. Son père a été cadre dans la plus grande usine de métallurgie de Pologne avant de se lancer en politique. Il est présentement le vice-maire de la ville de Dabrowa Gornicza. La maman travaille dans une association pour le développement de la région. Sa famille l'encourage dans son cheminement vocationnel. Ses parents participent à l'animation missionnaire organisée par les Missionnaires d'Afrique dans sa région.

De 1984 à 1992, il a fait son école primaire à Dabrowa Gornicza. Puis il a continué au Lycée de cette même ville et a obtenu son bac en 1996. Durant les cinq années suivantes, il a fréquenté l'Académie des Mines et Métallurgie de Cracovie où il a obtenu une maîtrise en métallurgie et est devenu ingénieur.

Entre mars et septembre 2001, il a rendu quatre visites aux Missionnaires d'Afrique à Lublin. Puis durant les trois années suivantes, il a fait sa première étape de formation missionnaire à l'Université Catholique de Lublin. En 2004, il a été nommé à Samagan pour y faire son année spirituelle. De là, il est parti pour Dori, toujours au Burkina Faso, pour son stage pastoral.

En août 2007, il est venu à Abidjan pour entreprendre la dernière étape de sa formation initiale. En juin 2009 Marcin a terminé sa deuxième année de théologie au Centre de formation Missionnaire d'Abidjan (CFMA) et a entamé sa troisième et dernière année au mois de septembre 2009.

DIDASIO MWANZA

Didasio est né le 8 novembre 1980 à Petauke en Zambie. Il est le deuxième enfant et le premier garçon de sa famille. Il a une sœur et deux frères. Une sœur est décédée en bas âge. Ses parents, Michael Yakobe Mwanza et Margaret Phiri, sont agriculteurs. Auparavant, son père a travaillé pour le Diocèse de Chipata dans plusieurs domaines. Avant d'aller à la retraite, il a travaillé dans un projet d'orphelinat de l'Église comme co-ordinateur. Ses parents l'encouragent dans son choix vocationnel.
Après ses études primaires à l'école primaire de Chikungu, il a fait ses études secondaires avec les frères Maristes de 1995 à 1999 à l'école secondaire de Chassa.

C'est à la suite d'un coma dû à la malaria survenu en 1998 qu'il a connu une véritable conversion d'où est né son désir de devenir prêtre. Il a d'abord hésité entre différents instituts pour ensuite se décider à demander à être accepté chez les Missionnaires d'Afrique qui dirigeaient sa paroisse.

En 2001, il entre en année de propédeutique au Centre vocationnel de Kolibo. De 2001 à 2004, il fait la première étape à Arusha. L'année suivante, il est nommé à Samagan pour l'Année Spirituelle. De 2005 à 2007, il est envoyé à la paroisse de Bandiagara, dans le diocèse de Mopti au Mali pour son stage apostolique.

En septembre 2007, il est venu à la Fraternité Lavigerie d'Abidjan pour entreprendre la dernière étape de sa formation initiale. En juin 2009 Didasio a terminé sa deuxième année de théologie au Centre de formation Missionnaire d'Abidjan et a déjà entamé sa troisième et dernière année depuis le mois de septembre 2009.

EMMANUEL NOUFÉ

Emmanuel est né à Banfora au Burkina Faso le 16 mai 1977. Il est le fils de Jean Apollinaire Noufé et de Adèle Hien. Il est le quatrième d'une famille de huit enfants. Son désir d'être prêtre le fait entrer au petit séminaire de Nasso. Il y reste quatre ans et demande à se retirer. Mais il ne regrette pas du tout d'y être passé. Puis il fait un an au Lycée moderne et cinq ans au Lycée municipal de Banfora. Malgré deux échecs où il a dû reprendre ces années, il a obtenu son Bac en 2001.

C'est en classe de troisième qu'il fait une première démarche chez les Missionnaires d'Afrique et qu'il commence son cheminement avec eux. Sa famille s'est montrée favorable à sa vocation missionnaire. En 2001, il est accepté à la Maison Lavigerie pour entreprendre sa première étape de formation. En 2004, il est envoyé à Kasama en Zambie pour son année spirituelle. De 2005 à 2007, il fait son stage apostolique au Burundi.

En septembre 2007, il arrive à la Fraternité Lavigerie d'Abidjan pour commencer la dernière étape de sa formation initiale. En juin 2009 Emmanuel a terminé sa deuxième année de théologie au Centre de formation Missionnaire d'Abidjan et a entamé sa troisième et dernière année au mois de septembre 2009.

PRESENTATION OF THE 11 NEW CONFRERES

VITALIS OWINO DERO

Vitalis Owino was born on the 3rd October 1975 in Kisumu, Kenya. He is the eldest of 9 children. His parents are John Dero and Teresa Auma.

Vitalis wanted to become a priest ever since primary school. After completing his secondary schooling in 1994 at the junior seminary, by his own choice and due to the regulations imposed on his ethnic background, he did not go on to major seminary. Nevertheless, he began work as a catechist in the parish and in 1999 he expressed the desire to become a Missionary of Africa. During this time, he also did studies in computer technology.

In 2001, he was accepted at Jinja where he did his First Phase of Missionary Formation. Three years later, in 2004, he went to Samagan, Burkina Faso, for the Spiritual Year. He was then sent to the DR Congo for his apostolic training.
In August 2007, he arrived at Abidjan to undertake the Fourth Phase of his Initial Formation. In June 2009, Vitalis completed his second year of theology at the Abidjan Missionary Formation Centre (CFMA) and began his third and final year in September 2009.

PAWEL HULECKI

Son of Jerzy Hulecki and Grazyna Andrzejewska, Pawel was born on the 4th March 1980 at Reszel, Poland. He did his secondary schooling at the General Teaching College, Olsztyn, from 1995 till 1999. In 1999, he entered the major seminary of the diocese of Olsztyn, where he discovered his missionary vocation. He left the major seminary in 2003 to join our First Phase house at Lublin, Poland. He continued his theological studies, begun at the major seminary, at the Catholic University of Lublin and passed his Baccalaureate in Theology in 2005.

He was then sent to Bobo Dioulasso for the Spiritual Year from 2005-2006. Appointed to the Province of Central Africa, he did his apostolic training from 2006-2008 among the Wazimba and Bakwange peoples at Kipaka, Kasongo Diocese, DR Congo.

Having already completed the theological programme for priesthood, Pawel has been at Fraternité Lavigerie, Abidjan, to complete his Missionary Formation. Subsequent to his experience in DRC, he is following a two-year tuition in Justice and Peace (Option: Peace and Conflict Management) at Abidjan Research and Action Centre for Peace (CERAP).

FAUSTIN KERUMBE WEDUNG'A

Faustin was born on the 28th April 1977 at Nyarambe in the diocese of Mahagi-Nioka, DR Congo. He is the third of seven children. One of his half-brothers passed away in 2003. He comes from a farming background. Very early on, he expressed a wish to join the Missionaries of Africa. His parents always encouraged him in his desire for missionary life. After beginning his secondary schooling in a state secondary school, he continued them at the John XXIII Junior Seminary, Vida, where he passed his Literature Section State Diploma in 1999. He then taught for a year at the Blessed Anuarite Secondary School, Mahagi. In 2000, he was accepted at the Foyer Ngongo, Goma, for the pre-Philosophy Year.

In September 2001, he began his First phase at La Ruzizi. In 2004, he was sent to Samagan for his Spiritual Year. From there, he was appointed to Chipata Diocese, Zambia, for his apostolic training.

In September 2007, he arrived at Abidjan to undertake the Fourth and final Phase of his Initial Formation. In May 2008, he received the Ministry of Acolyte. He did his 30-Day Retreat from the 17th July till the 16th August at Logbakro (Yamoussoukro) at the Carmelite Sisters' Convent. In June 2009, Faustin completed his second year of theology at Abidjan Missionary Formation Centre (CFMA) and began his third and final year in September 2009.

PASCAL IMANI KAPILIMBA


Pascal was born on the 24th April 1973 at Yamba-Yamba, Maniema, DR Congo. His father, Jérôme Kapilimba Feruzi, is a teacher and his mother, Jacqueline Atosha Kotcha, works on the farm. He is the seventh of eight children. He comes from a practising Catholic family, but his parents separated when Pascal was thirteen. They were reconciled in 2004, thanks to the efforts of Pascal and his brothers.

He did his primary schooling at Yamba-Yamba and Senga-Luchi. He continued his secondary school studies at Kipaka. He taught at the primary school at Kisandji after passing his diploma.

He began his religious training by a pre-philosophy spiritual year at Kasongo (1995), and then in 1996, he began philosophy at the Mgr Cleire Major Seminary, Kasongo. After a blank year due to the insecure situation, he resumed his philosophy, but this time (2000), at St. Mbaga Tuzinde Major Seminary (Cibanda) run by the Diocese of Kasongo. He continued his theological studies in 2001 at the St. Pius X Seminary, Murhesa. In 2003, he spent some time at the Pre-philosophy Phase at Kasongo, and then returned to Murhesa for his third year of theology.

He did his third year of theology in 2003-2004 before beginning his Formation with the Missionaries of Africa. Pascal always sought to deepen his missionary vocation when he was at the Major Seminary. His Missionary of Africa vocation firmed up in 1999. He had opportunities to spend time in Missionary of Africa communities at Kipaka and Mingana. Pascal did his Spiritual year at Samagan from 2005-2006. He did his apostolic practice at Bandiagara, Mali, from 2006 till 2008.

Pascal has been at the Fraternité Lavigerie since September 2008 to complete his Missionary Formation. Since Pascal has already completed most of his theological studies required for priestly ordination, he is just following some courses at the Abidjan Missionary Formation Centre (CFMA).

ROLAND BISHIKWABO KAMUNTU

Roland was born on the 16th August 1977 in the DR Congo. He comes from a large family. His dad had several wives and many children. He is the sixth of seven children from his mother, a committed Christian. She raised Roland on her own as she had been separated from her husband for a long time. His older brothers and sisters played an important part in his education. His dad passed away in December 2006. Both parents had strongly encouraged their son in his missionary option. Roland was baptised in 1989 aged 12 at Kadutu, Bukavu Archdiocese. He received Confirmation the following year.

After completing primary and secondary school at Bukavu, he passed his Teaching Method State Diploma in 1999. The following year, he followed courses in secretarial studies, accounting and computers. In 2000, attracted by the charism of the Missionaries of Africa and their commitment to Justice and Peace, he applied and was accepted to the pre-philosophy programme at Foyer Ngongo, Goma. He went to La Ruzizi the following year.

In 2004, he was appointed to the Spiritual Year at Samagan, Bobo Dioulasso, Burkina Faso. From 2005 till 2007, he did his apostolic training at Acumet, Soroti Diocese, Uganda. In September of the same year he began his Fourth Phase of Initial Formation at the Fraternité Lavigerie, Abidjan. Roland is currently in his third year of theology at Abidjan Missionary Formation Centre (CFMA).


JOSEPH FRANCIS MAKOKA

Joseph was born on the 21st May 1981 at Lilongwe, Malawi, and is the first son in a family of seven children. His father is a laboratory technician. Currently, he is working as a Medical Assistant in a dispensary. Joseph's mother passed away in 2001. At the end of his primary schooling, he entered Dedza Diocese St Kizito Junior Seminary. However, after some months, it closed down. He therefore firstly attended Dedza Katsekaminga Community Day Secondary School for a year and then the secondary school of the Marist Brothers, still in the same town, from 1999 till 2000.

The regular visits of a confrere to his sick mother for a year-and-a-half influenced Joseph's choice to enter the Missionaries of Africa. In 2000, he took part in three 'Come and See' Sessions. The next year, he did his pre-philosophy year at Kanengo, Lilongwe. From 2001 till 2004, he did his First Phase at Jinja, Uganda. In 2004, he was sent to Samagan, Burkina Faso, for the Spiritual Year. He was then appointed to Zinder, Niger, for his apostolic practice.

PATRICK EMUKULE OBAI

Patrick was born on the 24th July 1975 at Amukura, Kenya. He is the youngest of six children. One brother passed away. His dad, Fobiano, has a second wife from whom he has seven children. On retiring, he turned to looking after the land and the farm.
After primary schooling in his village, Patrick attended two secondary schools and he completed in 1997. Then, for two years, he worked as a secretary and in the administration of a hospital. In 1999, he attended two sessions organised by the Missionaries of Africa. In 2000, on advice from the Missionaries, he took up pastoral work with street children. During this year, he attended the pre-philosophy session in Tanzania.

From 2001 till 2004, he launched the First Phase of his Formation at Jinja, Uganda. In 2004, he went to the Spiritual Year at Samagan, Burkina Faso. He was then sent to DR Congo for his apostolic practice.

In August 2007, he arrived at Fraternité Lavigerie, Abidjan, to undertake the final phase of his Initial Formation. In September 2009, Patrick began his third and final year of theological training at Abidjan Missionary Formation Centre.

MARCIN ZAGULA

Marcin was born on the 31st March 1977 at Katowice, Poland. He has one sister eight years younger. Another sister died in infancy. His father was an executive in the largest metallurgy factory in Poland, before beginning a career in politics. He is currently the Deputy-Mayor of Dabrowa Gornicza. His mother works in an association for regional development. His family encouraged him in his vocation journey. His parents take part in Missionary Promotion activities organised by the Missionaries of Africa in the region.

From 1984 till 1992, Marcin did his primary schooling at Dabrowa Gornicza. He continued at the secondary school in the same town and passed his Baccalaureate in 1996. For the following five years, he attended the Krakow Academy of Mines and Metallurgy, where he obtained a Master's Degree in Metallurgy and became an engineer.

Between March and September 2001, he paid four visits to the Missionaries of Africa at Lublin. Then, for the three following years, he did his First Phase of Missionary Formation at the Catholic University of Lublin. In 2004, he was appointed to Samagan, to do his Spiritual Year there. From there, he was sent to Dori, also in Burkina Faso, for his apostolic practice.

He arrived at Abidjan in August 2007 to undertake his final phase in Initial Formation. In June 2009, Marcin completed his second year of theology at Abidjan Missionary Formation Centre (CFMA) and began his third and final year in September 2009.

DIDASIO MWANZA

Didasio was born on the 8th November 1980 at Petauke, Zambia. He is the second child and first son of the family. He has a sister and two brothers. One sister died in infancy. His parents, Michael Yakobe Mwanza and Margaret Phiri, are farmers. Before now, his father worked for the Diocese of Chipata in several capacities. Before retiring, he worked in a Church orphanage project as a coordinator. Didasio's parents support him in his vocation choice.
After his primary schooling at Chikungu, he did his secondary studies with the Marist Brothers from 1995 till 1999, at Chassa Secondary School.

Recovering from a malarial coma in 1998, he experienced a genuine conversion from which sprang his desire to become a priest. He initially hesitated between the various Institutes, and then finally decided to apply to the Missionaries of Africa, who were in charge of the parish.

In 2001, he began the pre-philosophy year at the Kolibo Vocation Centre. From 2001 till 2004, he did his First Phase at Arusha. The following year, he was appointed to Samagan for the Spiritual Year. From 2005 till 2007, he was sent to Bandiagara Parish, Mopti, Mali, for his apostolic practice.

In September 2007, he came to the Fraternité Lavigerie, Abidjan, to undertake the final phase of his Initial Formation. In June 2009, Didasio completed his second year of theology at Abidjan Missionary Formation Centre and since September 2009, has already begun his third and final year.

EMMANUEL NOUFÉ

Emmanuel was born at Banfora, Burkina Faso, on the 16th May 1977. He is the son of Jean Apollinaire Noufé and Adèle Hien. He is the fourth of eight children. His desire to become a priest led him to join the Nasso Junior Seminary. He remained there for four years and asked to withdraw. However, he does not regret at all having been there. He then did a year at the modern secondary school and five years at Banfora Municipal Secondary School. Despite two failures, when he had to repeat these years, he passed his Baccalaureate in 2001.

In Third Form, he took the first step towards the Missionaries of Africa and began his spiritual journey with them. His family were in favour of his missionary vocation. In 2001, he was accepted at Maison Lavigerie to begin his First Phase of Formation.

In 2004, he was sent to Kasama, Zambia, for his Spiritual Year. From 2005 till 2007, he did his apostolic practice in Burundi.
In September 2007, he arrived at Fraternité Lavigerie, Abidjan, to begin the final phase of his Initial Formation. In June 2009, Emmanuel completed his second year of theology at Abidjan Missionary Formation Centre and began his third and final year in September 2009.
